Jonathan Barkat

Jonathan Barkat grew up in Cape May, NJ and attended col­lege in Philadel­phia.After grad­u­a­tion he moved to New York where he lived for six years before return­ing to Philadel­phia.Though he first enjoyed work­ing with a cam­era in high school, the first part of his col­lege years were spent paint­ing and draw­ing. This back­ground informs his work and approach to image mak­ing. His work has been rec­og­nized by Photo Dis­trict News and the Inter­na­tional Pho­tog­ra­phy Awards.
